Pricing and Contract Terms
Unlike most other tracking companies, which typically require a 2 or 3-year contract and one that continues even if you sell your car, TRACETEC has NO fixed term contract (You can cancel whenever you need to).
TRACETEC is the most affordable vehicle tracking and recovery product available.
The monthly monitoring fee is R79.00 (inc VAT).
Value added services

Recovery
TRACETEC has its own national network of recovery agents. We also have access to airborne and waterborne recovery facilities.
TRACETEC always liaises with the SAPS during recovery operations to affect an arrest
Accreditation
TRACETEC is fully approved by the South African Insurance Association and became its first tracking company member in March 2005
TRACETEC has a recovery rate audited by SAIA, which exceeds their minimum recovery requirement of 70% of incidents
TRACETEC equipment is FCC & ETSI (CE) certified. ETSI EN 300 220, CE Directive 99/05/CE, FCC ID 06XL-TG501.
Insurance
TRACETEC is accepted by all major insurance companies as a fully endorsed tracking device and is likely to entitle owners to a discount on motor vehicle premiums.
Installation
TRACETEC has a network of mobile fitters who will for your convenience install your TRACETEC Unit at your home or office even in the evening or at weekends.
The mobile fitters will also travel to your dealership to fit the unit before you take delivery of the vehicle
TRACETEC does not cut into any wires in the vehicle, a process used by most other tracking companies and one that has resulted in electrical problems in certain vehicles.
TRACETEC does not take power from the vehicle battery. It has its own battery, which is guaranteed for 3 years. Some tracking products have caused battery failures and flat batteries in Motorcycles

Many motor dealers fit Tracetec systems and they are listed under fitment centers. There are other dealers,
which have arrangements with mobile fitters, ask your dealer to have TRACETEC fitted in your vehicle.

TRACETEC provides a 3-year guarantee on hardware.

Where is my vehicle?
TRACETEC call centre operators do not have access to any vehicle positional information. They cannot tell you where your vehicle is. This is a security measure to protect the client.
What is your coverage?
TRACETEC's coverage is expanding daily, but recoveries can be made all over South Africa.
What is your recovery rate?
TRACETEC's recovery rate is audited by SAIA and is in excess of 70%
What kind of vehicles can be installed with TRACETEC?
TRACETEC can be installed in any vehicle, truck, marine craft, motorcycle, Quad bike or trailer. We do not do Laptops, household effects or any other non-vehicular items
Who recovers for you?
